Visiting Instructor of Chinese Language, Wesleyan University (Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT)

The College of East Asian Studies at Wesleyan University invites applications for a one-year appointment as a full-time Visiting Instructor of Chinese beginning Fall 2023. The visitor will teach a five-course combination of beginning and advanced Chinese-language classes.

Applicants must have a MA in Chinese language/linguistics, education, or other related fields at the time of appointment, and must have native or near-native proficiency in Chinese and English.

As part of the teaching statement (or cover letter), we invite you to describe your cultural competencies and experiences engaging a diverse student body. You will also be asked to provide the email addresses of three referees from whom we will obtain confidential letters of recommendation.
