Location: Kingston

This is an Academic Year, Full-time, Non-Tenure-track, position limited to June 28, 2025 with anticipated renewal.

The Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures at the University of Rhode Island anticipates an opening for an Assistant Teaching Professor in Chinese to start in the Fall semester of 2024. Position is full-time academic year, with anticipated renewal. Teaching and other workload assignments will be decided by the Chinese Section Head in consultation with the Department Chair, and Chinese Flagship Director.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach Chinese language courses at the beginning, intermediate and advanced levels. Teach in the Chinese Language Flagship Program as needed. The position also requires some administrative work for the Chinese Section and participating in program-related activities.
