Teaching Assistant Professor in Chinese
The Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for a renewable three-year appointment as Teaching Assistant Professor in Chinese language, beginning July 1, 2027.
The Teaching Assistant Professor will teach six language courses per academic year, from introductory to advanced levels, and will play an active role in collaborative program activities and perform other departmental services.
Qualifications
This position requires a master’s degree in teaching Chinese as a foreign language or a related field; native or near-native proficiency in Chinese and English; and familiarity with the methods and technologies used in teaching Mandarin Chinese at the university level in North America.
