Private Governess & Early Childhood Educator (Bilingual Mandarin / English) (San Francisco, CA)

Location: San Francisco Bay Area + Domestic & International Travel
Commitment: Full-time, long-term (3–10 years)
Compensation: $130,000+, commensurate with experience
Employment: W-2

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
A multicultural Bay Area family with three kids under four is seeking a warm, intellectually curious Mandarin-speaking educator to join them long-term as their children’s primary teacher and governess.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a Chinese language educator to apply their skills in a deeply purposeful 1:1 setting – designing and delivering a bilingual curriculum for three young children, with the world itself as the classroom. The family travels domestically every month and internationally several times a year, with each new culture and environment woven directly into the children’s education.
A candidate with Montessori training and experience spanning both institutional and home-based education would be a natural fit, though a range of early childhood backgrounds is welcome. Native Mandarin and fluent English are required.
The family is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and welcomes applicants from anywhere in the US. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Design and deliver age-appropriate bilingual curricula for children from infant through early elementary ages.

– Coordinate closely with parents and other caregivers to ensure consistency of routines and communication.
– Manage children’s logistics: schedules, playdates, nutrition, and supplies.
