Phoenix Tree Publishing Inc., the North American branch of Beijing Language and Culture University Press (BLCUP), was established in Chicago in 2011 as the first university press from China to establish operations in North America.
We are committed to providing high-quality Chinese language textbooks, cultural publications, educational products, and innovative educational programs for schools, institutions, and individual Chinese language learners throughout North America. In addition to supporting Chinese language educators with excellent teaching resources, we actively promote Chinese culture through educational exchanges and international collaboration.
As our educational programs continue to expand, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Program Specialist to support the planning, development, implementation, and management of international Chinese language education programs.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate innovative international Chinese language education projects throughout North America.
Lead project teams in market development, client relationship management, needs assessment, technical support, project implementation, quality control, project acceptance, after-sales services, and payment collection.
Oversee the operation and management of programs including:
International Chinese Teacher Programs
Chinese Language Training Programs
HSK Chinese Proficiency Test Training Programs
Other international educational exchange initiatives
Develop and implement new international Chinese education projects based on the evolving needs of the North American market.
Identify training needs of schools, universities, educational institutions, and organizations both domestically and internationally, and design customized training programs accordingly.
Integrate educational resources and coordinate instructors, partners, and program materials to ensure successful project delivery.
Promote, market, and operate educational programs and related products across multiple channels.
Build and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions, partners, and clients.
Prepare project reports, presentations, and documentation, and complete other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
Required
Master’s degree or above. Major is open; applicants with a background in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, International Chinese Education, Education, Linguistics, or related fields are preferred.
Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
Strong presentation, coordination, and client relationship management abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
Ability to work independently under pressure while maintaining a positive, proactive attitude.
Willingness to work overtime and travel when required.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred
Experience teaching or training Chinese language learners in China or overseas.
Experience working in North America or within international education organizations.
Overseas study experience is highly desirable.
Experience developing educational programs, teacher training, or curriculum design.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience with video editing, graphic design, social media operations (including WeChat Official Accounts), or creating professional presentations is a strong plus.
