Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor of Chinese (Gambier, OH)

Kenyon College’s Department of Modern Languages and Literatures invites applications for a one-year (2023–2024) position at the Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor level in Chinese in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. Area of specialization is open, but preference will be shown to candidates whose research agenda and teaching experience show a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to teach a variety of undergraduate courses, including Chinese language and courses on Chinese literature and culture in translation. Teaching load is five courses per year. Applicants should have native or near-native command of Chinese and English. A Ph.D. is preferred, but ABDs are welcome to apply.
