Position Summary:

The https://www.rollins.edu/global-languages/index.html, a private liberal arts college in central Florida, invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor position in Chinese Language and Asian Studies, to begin in Fall, 2023. The initial appointment is for two years. We seek candidates with native or near-native fluency in Chinese and English; Ph.D. in Chinese, East Asian Languages, Asian Studies, Foreign Language Pedagogy, Second Language Acquisition, or related field; and substantial teaching experience at college level in the United States. The successful candidate will teach all levels of Chinese language as well as contribute to Asian Studies and general education curriculum.

Minimum Qualifications and Education:

• Native or near-native fluency in Chinese and English
• Ph.D. in Chinese, East Asian Languages, Asian Studies, Foreign Language Pedagogy, Second Language Acquisition, or related field
• Teaching experience at college level in the U.S.
• Demonstrated ability teach all levels of Chinese language as well as contribute to Asian Studies and general education curriculum
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to a diverse and inclusive learning and working environment at Rollins College
