Teaching Fellow for Chinese Studies (Clinton, NY)

The East Asian Languages and Literatures Department at Hamilton College invites applications
for one year Teaching Fellow position in Chinese, beginning on August 15, 2022. The position
can be renewed for one additional year, contingent on funding renewal and performance review.
A B.A. or M.A. in Chinese language pedagogy or related areas and experience teaching
Chinese as a second language are required. The Teaching Fellow will assist full-time faculty
members in teaching two Chinese language courses while enrolled in classes at Hamilton. We
are seeking candidates who can demonstrate their experience in teaching or working with
diverse populations. The cover letter should address ways in which you incorporate diversity
and inclusion in your teaching. Primary work responsibilities will include
individual sessions and grading. The teaching fellow will receive a monthly stipend, room,
board, health insurance, round-trip transportation to and from Hamilton College, and tuition
benefits.
