Teachers and Facilitators –NSA STARTALK (Fort Worth, Texas)
The Department of Modern Language Studies has immediate openings for two instructors of Chinese and six facilitators of Chinese to work for two weeks (June 13-24, 2022) in their NSA STARTALK Chinese immersion program.

Job Title: Teacher – NSA STARTALK
Teachers in this NSA STARTALK Program are responsible for leading learning activities—under supervision of the principal investigator and instructional lead—in Chinese for students enrolled in the program.
Duties and Essential Job Functions:
• Collaborates with the instructional leads in designing and delivering interactive activities and organizing and participating in extracurricular activities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Title: Facilitator – NSA STARTALK
The Facilitator – NSA STARTALK is responsible for facilitating, under supervision of the principal investigator and instructional lead, activities in Chinese for students enrolled in the program. Facilitators will live on site with the participants in the STARTALK program.
Duties and Essential Job Functions:
• Collaborates with the instructional leads to help learners create and maintain a Chinese immersion learning environment both inside and outside of the classroom.
• Facilitates in-class drill interactions.
• Organizes and leads lunch and dinner conversations in Chinese.
• Organizes and participates in extracurricular activities.
• Guides learners self-paced study/homework activities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
