Chinese Language, Culture and Literature
The Chinese program at the University of San Diego (USD) is hiring an instructor to teach two Chinese-language classes, CHIN 101 (MWF 14:30-15:25) and CHIN 201 (MWF 10:10-11:05) for Spring 2023 (Jan. 26-May 24). The minimum requirements are an MA in Chinese literature, linguistics, language acquisition, pedagogy, or a related field; prior experience teaching language courses in a university setting; and demonstrated excellence in teaching. Assuming satisfactory performance, this position is renewable and will likely convert to a full-time post (with at least a 3/2 teaching load, and competitive benefits for full-time employees) as soon as the next academic year (AY2023-2024).
