Chinese Flagship Project Coordinator (Oxford, Mississippi)

The Department of Modern Languages at the University of Mississippi invites applications for a project coordinator to begin immediately. The incumbent will perform various administrative functions including recruiting, student advising and budgeting for the university’s Chinese Flagship and Project GO (ROTC) programs.

The Chinese Language Flagship Program at the University of Mississippi was established in 2003 by a grant from the National Security Education Program. The program leads the nation in designing, supporting and implementing a new paradigm for advanced language education. The five-year undergraduate Chinese Language Program at the University of Mississippi is designed for highly motivated and diligent students who seek to achieve Superior-level proficiency in Chinese while pursuing degrees in the academic major of their choice. The successful candidate for this position must have at least two years’ experience with the above activities and a BA from an accredited university.
