The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Georgetown University invites applications for a one-year full-time, non-tenure-line teaching position in Chinese language, starting August 2021. By the start date of the appointment, candidates must have a PhD in Chinese language pedagogy or a related field with native or near native proficiency in Chinese and English. Experience teaching college-level Chinese in North America is required. The teaching load for this position includes up to 4 classes per semester, or the equivalent of 12 credits per semester (24 total for the academic year), and candidates must be able to teach Chinese language at all levels.
