Assistant Professor of Chinese The Department of Asian Languages and Literatures (ALL) at Pomona College, which consists of a Chinese and Japanese Program, invites applications for a tenure-track position in either modern and contemporary Chinese literature and culture or Chinese linguistics to begin July 2023. Applicants must have native or near-native fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching, and Ph.D. in hand at time of appointment. This position carries a 2/2 teaching load, including three language courses and a course taught in English in the candidate’s area of specialization.
