The Annual Meeting of CLTA is held in conjunction with that of the
American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL),
which hosts the largest gathering of foreign language educators in the U.S. each year.
These meetings are held in November, and generally take place on the weekend before
Thanksgiving (plus the Friday beforehand or the Monday afterwards).
Information on registration, housing, online convention program, etc.,
may be obtained from the ACTFL Home Page (under "Convention and Expo").
Note that all current, paid-up members of ACTFL -- or any of the ACTFL cooperating organizations,
including CLTA -- may pay the member rate for ACTFL registration.
If you are not a current member, you will need to register at the non-member rate.
However, you may join CLTA (or any of the other cooperating organizations) prior to the
Convention and pay the member rate.
To join CLTA, see our online CLTA Membership Information.
Please note that ACTFL has different registration deadline rates, so do plan to register early!
